Telford & Wrekin Council

Monster Play Systems have installed a number of high quality ball courts and youth shelters over a number of years for the council. They have supplied excellent long lasting products to a high specification, and I have found the installation and after sales service second to none. I would have no hesitation in recommending Monster Play Systems High spec ball courts and youth shelters.
Derek Owen, Telford & Wrekin Council

Phoenix Community Housing

Phoenix Community Housing is a new Community Gateway housing association; we came into being on the 3 December 2007 when the council housing stock across the wards of Bellingham, Whitefoot and Downham in the London Borough of Lewisham were transferred.

We have had the pleasure of working in partnership with Monster Play on the Shroffold Green Playground in Downham.

Due to some important milestones Shroffold Green playground was a very difficult playground to develop. Monster Play approach to this overcoming these difficulties was commendable and most importantly they delivered. Since installation Monster Play have been active in ensure that any issues arising from the insulation playground are promptly dealt with. Before Phoenix commissioned the playground one of our concerns was around the lack of use of equipment by young people in other parks. Shroffold Green has been installed since the 1st April and the most importantly young people are using the equipment. And there is no greater testimony than that.

Broadland District Council

Re: Supply and use of Youth Shelters;
It has been six months now since your company installed three youth shelters in the district as part of our Big Lottery Play project. I therefore thought the time was now right to let you know all three shelters are holding up well and all continue to be used. On my site inspections I am also pleased to say the radios are still functioning. I have to say I was particularly pleased with the way the shelters were installed with so little mess given the installations happened at the worst possible time of year. Should the opportunity arise again your company would certainly be on any future tender list.
Bob Fell, Section 106 Monitoring Officer.
Derbyshire Constabulary

The (youth) shelters are a fantastic idea as they give the young people their own space where they can congregate in peace without disturbing other members of the community. It also means we know where they are, so we can engage with them in a non-confrontational way. In fact we think they are such a good idea that we are now looking to put them elsewhere in the City of Derby.
Inspector Richard Keene.

Bridge Parish Council

Before the opening of the youth shelter, a group of youngsters who happened to be playing there made an impromptu speech to thank the Parish Council for buying the shelter and said how much they enjoyed playing in (and on) it. It is a well used and popular facility, not just by the youths but by parents of toddlers using the play equipment during the day and as a coat store for the boys playing football at weekends! From my point of view I was delighted by the excellent service I received from your company. Once we had ordered the shelter it was delivered promptly, on time , with a minimum of fuss and with very efficient and pleasant men who erected it. They cleared up beautifully after themselves and the whole process was completely painless. I would have no hesitation in recommending Monster to anyone.

Recreation and Open Spaces Committee

We know from experience that older children want play equipment that challenges their ingenuity and they just love climbing, so we felt that Monster Play's Highland unit would be ideal. It was robust so it would resist the hard wear it would inevitably get, and being manufactured from recycled materials was a real bonus, supporting the council's policy of increasing recycling and reducing the amount of refuse going to landfill sites. Since it was installed, there are always groups of older children climbing over it and they sit at the top chatting and use it as a meeting place. The Rock 'n Cross swing proved a real challenge as it took the young people several days to work out how to use it, but judging from the reaction of the children, it has been a great success.
Councillor Mrs Christine Barnett.

Holland Haven Junior School

The children enjoy the PlayShells so much, parents now have a problem getting them to leave and go home. It clearly demonstrates how popular our new scheme really is and they´re having fun, so it´s a problem we really don´t mind.
